ABOUT THE ROLE

Yunta connects professionals in the Philippines with U.S.-based businesses. We are building a shortlist of experienced Civil 3D drafters and designers for upcoming land-development production-support opportunities.

This is an expression of interest, not a confirmed immediate vacancy. Client placement, start date, compensation, schedule, and final scope will be agreed before any engagement. Please do not leave an existing role based on this application.

We are looking for someone who can turn engineering direction and marked-up plans into accurate, well-organized drawings and models. This is not an entry-level AutoCAD role. You should understand civil plan production, check your own work, and know when to ask for clarification rather than guess.

Location: Remote, Philippines

Expected work setup: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week once matched with a client. State your availability and any preference for part-time work.

Compensation: $9-$13 USD per hour, depending on experience and the eventual client scope. Include your expected hourly rate in USD.

Schedule: Agreed with the client. Tell us the hours you can consistently overlap with U.S. Mountain Time, including daylight-saving changes.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

- Prepare and revise residential or commercial land-development drawings under the client engineering team's direction.

- Update site layouts, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, plan/profile sheets, construction details, and erosion-control drawings within your assigned scope.

- Create and maintain Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, and pipe networks appropriate to your demonstrated experience.

- Apply engineer markups and review comments, keep a revision log, and check that related sheets remain consistent.

- Follow client CAD standards for layers, styles, labels, units, references, file naming, and sheet organization.

- Manage Xrefs and data shortcuts, prepare review PDFs, and keep project files organized for handoff.

- Check your own work for missing information, broken references, inconsistent elevations or labels, and other drawing/model issues.

- Communicate progress, questions, and blockers clearly to the project manager or reviewing engineer.

The client's responsible engineer directs and reviews the engineering work. This role does not require independently approving or stamping U.S. engineering plans.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- Approximately 3+ years of professional civil drafting or design-production experience, including recent hands-on Civil 3D work. Strong candidates with less tenure may be considered if their work demonstrates the required capability.

- Practical residential or commercial site/land-development plan-production experience, not solely architectural, structural, or general 2D drafting.

- Working proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surfaces, alignments/profiles, plan-sheet production, and organized CAD references. Explain your level of experience with grading and pipe networks.

- Ability to interpret engineering sketches and markups, follow project standards, and identify unclear or conflicting instructions.

- Strong attention to detail and a consistent self-checking process before submitting work for review.

- Clear written and spoken English and dependable communication with a remote team.

- Relevant work samples that you are authorized to share, with a clear explanation of your personal contribution.

- Reliable internet and a workable remote setup. Equipment and licensed software arrangements will be clarified before placement; do not buy software to apply.

NICE TO HAVE

- Prior experience supporting U.S. civil-engineering firms, particularly residential subdivisions or commercial site development.

- Familiarity with U.S. customary units and agency review-comment workflows.

- Corridor modeling, feature lines, grading tools, earthwork quantities, and erosion-control plan experience.

- Bluebeam Revu or similar PDF markup/review software.

- A degree or diploma in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, drafting, or a related field. Relevant practical ability matters more than credentials alone.

HOW TO APPLY - PLEASE ANSWER EACH ITEM

Use the subject: Civil 3D - Land Development

1. Link your resume and briefly summarize your civil drafting/design-production experience, including years using Civil 3D and versions used recently.

2. Describe your U.S. project experience, if any: project types, states, your responsibilities, and the level of engineer supervision. If you have no U.S. experience, state that clearly.

3. Share TWO authorized, redacted work samples showing relevant plan sheets or model screenshots. For each, explain what you personally created, what direction you received, and what others completed. Remove client names, addresses, confidential information, and proprietary details unless you have permission to share them. If confidentiality prevents sharing samples, explain what you can demonstrate instead.

4. Describe your practical experience with surfaces, grading, alignments/profiles, pipe networks, corridors, Xrefs/data shortcuts, and sheet production. Identify any areas where you would need support.

5. Give one brief example of a drawing/model issue or conflicting markup you caught. Explain how you resolved it or escalated it, and how you check work before handoff.

6. Provide your expected hourly rate in USD, availability, notice period, and consistent overlap with U.S. Mountain Time.

7. Describe your computer setup, internet/backup arrangements, and any equipment or software access you would need supplied. Do not send passwords or license keys.

Selected candidates may be invited to a live portfolio walkthrough and a short, paid practical assessment using non-client sample material, once an opportunity is confirmed. No production work is required as part of the initial application.

Please describe your experience accurately. You must personally attend interviews and complete assessments; any permitted tool or AI assistance will be stated in the assessment instructions. We value clear judgment, accurate work, and knowing when to ask questions over a long list of software names.
