Position: Bilingual Czech STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety
Type: Contract
Compensation: $53–$57/hour
Location: Remote
Start Date: Immediate
Role Responsibilities

- Write expert-level prompts in Czech across specialized scientific topics.

- Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.

- Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.

- Collaborate with AI research teams to improve training data quality and model safety.

- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while enhancing AI model performance .

Qualifications

Must-Have

- PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.

- Native or near-native fluency in Czech, plus business-level written English.

- Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield.

- Sound judgment around scientific safety and the responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred

- Based in the Czech Republic or the wider Eastern Europe region.

- Radiological and nuclear coverage from a chemistry background.

- Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic or inorganic synthesis, molecular biology, microbiology, virology, or genetics.

- Research or coursework on chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, or hazardous-materials handling.

- Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.
