Job Role: AssociateEducation Monitoring Analyst - Remote

Location: UK-based only (Must already reside in the UK).

Shift Patterns: Part Time Weekends- Please see below

Our moderation team operates 24/7 to ensure continuous global safety.

- The Schedule

Days: Saturday and Sunday only

Shift Times: 7:30am – 3:30pm | 2:00pm – 10:30pm | 10:30pm – 7:00am

Rotation: You can work on a regular 3-week rotation, cycling through all three shift patterns with the opportunity to transfer to a set shift pattern upon completion of training.

The Handover Process: Because we are a round-the-clock operation, your shift will include a structured handover period. This ensures a smooth transition to update the incoming team on active concerns, technical issues, or staffing roadblocks.

Interviews: W/C 31st August 2026

Start Date: Saturday 10th October 2026

Initial Training: Please note that the first 6 weeks of employment consist of intensive onboarding. During this period, you will be required to work a fixed schedule of Saturday/Sunday- 9:00 am – 5:30 pm . After successful completion of training, you will transition to your assigned shift pattern.

What’s the position?

At Smoothwall, we believe every child deserves to explore the digital world safely. As an Associate Education Monitoring Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in providing human moderation support for our Smoothwall Monitor Managed Service offering.

As a member of our Product team, you will monitor students' online activities worldwide to identify potential safeguarding risks and, when necessary, liaise with Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) within schools.

The work requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of modern online culture amongst young people and an ability to work at pace whilst making accurate decisions.

- Identify and flag safeguarding risks to schools/DSLs

- Contacting DSLs/Schools to alert them about critical risks, including but not limited to issues such as suicide and illegal content.
