We are hiring an Associate Clinical Team Lead! This is a permanent role to work remotely, with the expectation of occasional travel for site visits and client meetings.
As Associate Clinical Team Lead (ACTL), you will have the opportunity to support the CTL team in managing and maintaining ownership of the clinical operations aspects of projects. You will provide direction and training to CRAs assigned to the project under the guidance of the CTL. In addition, you may oversee of all operational aspects related to the planning and oversight of CRA and site performance, as delegated by the CTL. You will also help to ensure that sites and CRAs operate in compliance with study protocols, ICH/GCP guidelines, and Federal Regulations, in collaboration with the CTL.
What you’ll be doing:
Clinical Trial Operational Oversight
- Provide support to CTLs in the end-to-end clinical execution of projects or programs, ensuring adherence to protocols, timelines, and regulatory requirements
- Track and monitor recruitment, study metrics, monitoring, and documentation activities.
- Demonstrate a proficient understanding of ICH-GCP and its practical application and ensure sites comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., data management, regulatory, safety) to facilitate study deliverables
Resource and Budget Management
- Support the development and management of clinical operation timelines, metrics, resourcing, budget and activities
- Contribute to risk identification and implementation of appropriate corrective actions and mitigation strategies
- Support the tracking and reconciliation of clinical budgets related to clinical operation activities such as monitoring visits and CRA allocation
Stakeholder Communication
- Support communication among Clients, site staff, and internal teams and proactively escalate issues to CTL and study team
- Assist in preparing for and participating in internal and external meetings and managing routine Client communications
Team Leadership and Development
- Assist with CRA and IHCRA project training, and onboarding and support preparation and delivery of training materials for investigator meetings, conferences, and team training
- Foster collaboration across teams and ensures integration across project and sites
- Provide constructive performance feedback on CRAs/IHCRAs to line managers and project leads
- May participate in Bid Defense Meetings to present clinical operation and monitoring strategy
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Support protocol deviation review and reconciliation activities throughout the study by assisting with documentation, tracking, and coordination with cross-functional teams and Client for review and approval
- Assist in identifying clinical risks and supports the implementation of mitigation strategies throughout the study
- Assist with identifying, defining, documenting and ensuring compliance with project specific training requirements for clinical team
