About Legacy CRM

Legacy CRM is a white-labeled GoHighLevel SaaS platform built specifically for life insurance agents in the United States.

We currently serve approximately 50 paying agents and are actively expanding our platform with AI-powered SMS agents, automated lead follow-up, appointment booking, voice AI, and other automation tools.

We are looking for a full-time developer who can take ownership of an existing production system and continue building it.

You will work directly with the founder. There are no layers of management, decisions are made quickly, and you will have significant ownership over the systems you build and maintain.

Immediate Priority

Our previous full-time developer had to leave unexpectedly due to a personal family emergency.

He completed a detailed handoff, and you will not be starting from scratch.

Your first priority will be taking over our existing AI SMS Lead Agent.

The project already has:

Existing source code and GitHub repositories

Technical documentation and setup instructions

Existing GoHighLevel implementations to use as references

Existing webhooks, custom fields, custom values, and workflow configurations

AI prompts and lead-specific behavior

A working implementation that needs continued development, testing, improvement, and deployment across additional accounts

We need someone who is comfortable opening an existing project, understanding how everything works, troubleshooting issues, and taking ownership of it.

What You'll Work On

You will be responsible for projects involving:

AI-powered SMS lead agents

GoHighLevel workflows and sub-accounts

API and webhook integrations

Lead qualification and appointment booking

Database/API integrations

Debugging existing production systems

Deploying existing systems to additional customer accounts

A major current project is an AI SMS agent that communicates with insurance leads, understands different lead sources, handles questions and objections, qualifies conversations, and attempts to schedule appointments with licensed agents.

You will help improve the AI's conversational behavior, troubleshoot integrations, maintain the backend, and deploy the system across additional GoHighLevel accounts.

What You'll Do

Take ownership of our existing AI SMS Agent project

Review existing code, documentation, and GitHub repositories

Maintain and improve the backend powering the SMS agent

Integrate AI models such as OpenAI or Claude into production workflows

Build and maintain REST API and webhook integrations

Build, maintain, and troubleshoot GoHighLevel workflows

Configure GHL custom fields, custom values, pipelines, workflows, and snapshots

Connect GoHighLevel with external applications and APIs

Build and maintain ---------- scenarios when appropriate

Work with Supabase/Postgres databases and APIs

Debug failed integrations, webhook issues, API errors, and automation problems

Improve AI prompts and conversational logic

Test AI responses across different lead types and scenarios

Help deploy the SMS Agent to additional GHL sub-accounts

Document changes so systems remain maintainable

Help develop future AI products including voice agents and automated follow-up systems

Required Experience

You should have real development experience, not just experience using no-code tools.

We are specifically looking for someone who has actually built or maintained systems inside GoHighLevel.

You do not need to know every technology listed above.

What matters most is that you are a capable developer who understands APIs and backend systems and can quickly learn an existing architecture.

The Person We're Looking For

We do not want someone who needs every task broken into step-by-step instructions.

We want someone who can be given a goal such as:

"The SMS Agent works in our test account. Figure out what is required to deploy it correctly to additional GHL accounts."

…and then investigate the existing system, identify what needs to be done, ask intelligent questions when necessary, and execute.

Why This Role

This is not a temporary freelance project.

We are looking for someone who wants to become a long-term technical member of Legacy CRM.

You will work directly with the founder and have significant influence over how our technology evolves.

As the company grows, there is an opportunity for this person to become our Lead Developer / Technical Lead and eventually help manage additional developers.
