Accounting Assistant, Construction & Maintenance Billing - Property Management

About the Role:

We are a US property management company looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to handle construction and maintenance billing. You'll work with our accounting team to process vendor invoices, bill repair and renovation jobs, track expenses by property, and keep our books accurate and up to date. This is a great fit if you have bookkeeping or accounts payable experience and want to grow in real estate or construction accounting.

Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM US Eastern Time (graveyard shift in the Philippines)

Responsibilities:

•Create and send invoices for construction, repair, and maintenance work orders

•Process vendor and contractor bills, and match them to work orders and receipts

•Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks, including payment tracking and follow-ups

•Code expenses to the correct property, unit, or project

•Prepare expense reports and reconcile accounts

•Support month-end and year-end closing

•Keep financial records organized, accurate, and current

•Help with financial reports and analysis as needed

Requirements:

•1 to 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or AP/AR (construction, property management, or real estate experience is a strong plus)

•Working knowledge of QuickBooks and strong Microsoft Excel skills

•Experience with property management software such as AppFolio, Buildium, or Yardi is a bonus

•High attention to detail and accuracy with numbers

•Good organization and time management

•Able to work independently and as part of a remote team

•Clear written and spoken English communication
