Xactimate Restoration Estimator – Full-Time / Long-Term

Restimate is a U.S.-based restoration estimating company that prepares professional Xactimate estimates for restoration contractors across the United States. We are looking for an experienced Xactimate Estimator to join our team on a long-term basis. This is not a general virtual assistant position—we are specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience preparing restoration and insurance-related estimates in Xactimate. Responsibilities You will be responsible for reviewing documentation provided by our clients and preparing accurate, detailed Xactimate estimates. Typical projects may include: - Water mitigation estimates - Fire and smoke damage estimates - Mold remediation estimates - Reconstruction estimates - Contents-related estimates - Xactimate Sketch - Estimates created from Matterport or DocuSketch - Estimates created from photos, measurements, scopes, and field documentation - Revisions and supplements to existing estimates You will be provided with documentation from the restoration contractor and will be expected to identify the appropriate Xactimate line items, quantities, notes, and scope necessary to produce a complete professional estimate. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate has: - Professional experience using Xactimate - Experience with restoration, insurance claims, or property damage estimating - Strong knowledge of Xactimate line items and estimating methodology - Experience estimating water mitigation and/or reconstruction work - Ability to create accurate Xactimate Sketches - Strong attention to detail - Ability to recognize missing or conflicting information and ask appropriate questions - Good written English communication - Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines Experience with any of the following is a plus: - Matterport - DocuSketch - Encircle - MICA - DASH - Symbility - Xactimate Level 1, 2, or 3 certification - U.S. restoration contractors - Insurance carrier or TPA estimating requirements - Large-loss or commercial restoration estimating Position We are looking for someone interested in becoming a long-term member of our estimating team, not someone looking for a short-term project. There will be consistent estimating work for the right candidate, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibility as our estimating volume grows.
