Dignotion is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to support a range of high-impact web projects. This is a remote, project-based opportunity with flexible hours, ideal for developers who are comfortable working independently and bringing custom, performance-optimized WordPress solutions to life.

In this role, you’ll work on both new builds and existing properties, including the development of feature-rich, fast-loading websites. Many of our projects involve complex content structures, dynamic listings, and third-party integrations—so strong experience with custom development beyond basic theming is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites (themes, plugins, custom features)

- Build pages from scratch with and without page builders (e.g. Elementor)

- Optimize websites for performance, Web Core Vitals, and mobile responsiveness

- Manage and monitor bug tracking, QA, and ongoing maintenance

- Implement both backend and frontend features to spec

- Support WooCommerce development and optimization

- Improve site speed via caching, lazy loading, and optimized code

- Configure complex hosting setups, load balancers, and Git-based version control

- Integrate third-party APIs and dynamic content

- Translate project briefs into development roadmaps and deliverables

- Coordinate with internal teams and plugin/theme developers when needed

Requirements

- 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience

- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and related toolkits

- Experience working with REST APIs (advantage)

- Familiarity with Git workflows and version control (advantage)

- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design

- Ability to plan structured, scalable builds and follow through independently

- Excellent communication and fluent written English

- Experience working remotely and managing tasks asynchronously

- Familiarity with page builders like Elementor (advantage)

- Experience with affiliate marketing tools or link tracking (advantage)

Additional Bonus Points If You Have:
- Prior work developing listing-based, comparison, or directory-style websites

- Comfort working with structured content, advanced filtering, and UX-driven data presentation

- Experience creating CMS-driven experiences tailored for performance and scalability

Benefits

- Fully remote or hybrid work (NYC-based optional)

- Flexible working hours and project scope

- Competitive rates, defined individually per project and experience level

- Opportunity to work on technically challenging, high-visibility builds with a skilled and collaborative team
