■The Cover Teacher will work 10-15 days per month (averaging 2/3 days each week). The position involves 4 main duties.
1) Cover teacher
The cover teacher will fill in for full-time staffers while they are on vacation, or on sick leave. Vacation days may be decided in advance and the cover teacher is expected to make themselves available to take the lessons of the full-time staffer.
Note: Please be aware of the possibility that if a full-time staffer should suddenly fall ill, you may be called upon to work on short notice.
2) Seasonal course teacher
Seasonal courses happen at the school from March-April, July-August, and December-January. These are extra lessons our students can opt to take. The lessons will then be taught on fixed days of the week for those 2-month periods.
3) Make-up lessons
We offer "make-up" lessons for students who have missed their regularly scheduled classes.
4) “Practice with” Lessons.
In the interest of giving the cover teacher more consistent hours, as well as facilitating rapport building between cover teacher and other staff/students we will schedule “Practice with” lessons on a semi-regular basis. Such lessons will involve teaching some lessons of the full time Native English Teacher, while that teacher attends to other tasks/students. This ideally will also help the cover teacher to get more experience in the classroom, and more quickly become familiar with our teaching style at WinBe.
Again, these lessons would be scheduled based on the successful applicant’s schedule.
