Wedding Video Editor - Davinci Resolve

I run a wedding film company in California and shoot documentary style, no posing, no prompting. The story comes from what actually happened that day and from what people said. I am looking for one editor to build a long-term working relationship with, not a one-off gig. WHAT THE WORK IS Full-day wedding footage (sometimes with rehearsal dinner. coverage), a 7 to 8 minute documentary film out. Story driven, non-linear edits. You will NOT be color grading, unless you are an experienced colorist and are interested. Additional pay can be negotiated then. NON-NEGOTIABLES - DaVinci Resolve. Not Premiere, not Final Cut. I need the project file to open clean on my system. - Real experience editing documentary style wedding films. Not corporate, not music video, not TikTok. Wedding. List how many years of experience you have editing weddings. - Reliable internet. Tell me your specs and your typical download speed. - Comfortable on Zoom. I am happy to do 1:1 calls to train you into my style, and I would rather invest that time up front than send notes back and forth forever. If I send you a wedding today, when do I get the first cut back? Be honest, I would rather have a real number than an optimistic one. - How many films you can take on per month. - A link to 1 or 2 wedding films you've edited that are similar to my style. WHAT I PROVIDE - All footage as ready-to-edit proxies, delivered via Dropbox - The licensed music track. You do not need to source music - Timeline with music tracks placed and mixed together - A creative brief for each wedding - Timeline with A-roll culled for you to use in the wedding film - Direct access to me. Ask questions, I answer Workflow 1. I send all necessary files. 2. You create storyline with A-roll. Then you send project file back to me. 3. I adjust A-roll and choose which video clips are included or excluded. I send project back to you. 4. You place B-roll, add digital zooms and stabilize clips. Then you send project file back to me. 5. I review and make any notes of what I want you to change. 6. You make final revisions and send to me. PAY $200 USD per film, paid on delivery via Wise. All footage is confidential client work. Nothing gets posted or added to a reel without my written permission.
