Website + Ecommerce Designer

We're looking for a Website + Ecommerce Designer to create polished, functional digital experiences for Karst and our clients. You'll design and build ecommerce sites, maintain Karst's website, and work closely with our design, sales, and marketing teams to turn ideas and business needs into websites that look great and work even better. About the Role The Website + Ecommerce Designer sits within Karst's Design Department and works closely with our Sales and Marketing teams across both client-facing ecommerce projects and Karst's own digital presence. You'll design and build straightforward ecommerce sites—primarily in Shopify and other store platforms (Commonsku and Fulfill Engine)—taking projects from initial direction through a polished, responsive final product. You will not need to code an ecommerce platform from scratch, but you do need to know your way around one. Templates are absolutely fair game; what matters is having the design judgment to know what looks good, what works well, and how to turn a starting point into an experience that feels intentional and on-brand. You'll also own the day-to-day execution and upkeep of Karst's existing WordPress (Divi) website, including content changes, page updates, basic SEO, and ongoing improvements. You'll participate in client conversations alongside our Sales team to understand goals and requirements, then translate those needs into effective digital experiences. You won't be expected to lead the client relationship, but you should be comfortable contributing your expertise, asking good questions, and collaborating with both clients and internal teams. This role requires EST working hours. What You'll Do Cross-Functional Collaboration & Client Alignment Partner closely with Design, Sales, and Marketing to understand project goals, requirements, timelines, and brand direction Participate in client calls alongside the Sales team to gather requirements, understand feedback, and provide a web and design perspective Translate client and internal needs into clear, effective website solutions Communicate project progress, questions, roadblocks, and needs proactively Collaborate with other team members when additional creative assets, content, or support are needed Ecommerce Website Design & Delivery Design and build straightforward ecommerce websites, primarily using Shopify and other store platforms (Commonsku and Fulfill Engine) Take ecommerce projects from initial direction through build, QA, revisions, and launch Use existing themes and templates when appropriate, customizing them to create polished, intentional experiences Apply strong design judgment across layout, typography, imagery, hierarchy, navigation, and overall user experience Ensure sites are functional, intuitive, and aesthetically strong across
