We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead who can take ownership of the platform’s backend architecture and lead the technical execution of the engineering team. This role combines architecture, hands-on development, and team leadership. You will design complex backend solutions, decompose them into actionable tasks, support engineers during implementation, review code, and help maintain a high engineering standard across the product.

About the project 

We are building a large AI-driven platform for the Healthcare domain designed to automate Revenue Cycle Management processes, including billing, payment posting, data processing, and other operational workflows that have traditionally required significant manual effort.
The platform combines traditional workflow automation, data-processing and scraping components, and AI-powered agents capable of handling more complex business processes.

This is a long-term product where the Technical Lead will have significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence backend architecture, engineering practices, technical decisions, and the future direction of the platform.

Requirements:

6+ years of commercial software engineering experience

Strong hands-on experience with Python backend development

Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript

Proven experience designing and implementing backend architecture for complex applications

Experience building scalable, high-load, or high-throughput systems

Strong understanding of software architecture principles, system design, scalability, reliability, and performance

Experience designing systems that consist of multiple services, modules, or integrations

Strong experience with relational databases

Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS

Experience leading developers, reviewing pull requests, mentoring engineers, and supporting their professional growth

Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to architecture

Practical understanding of modern AI-assisted development tools and how to use them effectively throughout the software development lifecycle

Responsibilities

Own and continuously develop the backend architecture of the platform

Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions for complex product requirements

Make architectural and technical decisions together with the Head of AI and other stakeholders

Translate high-level product and business requirements into clear technical solutions

Mentor developers and support their technical and professional development

Improve system performance, reliability, maintainability, and observability

Support the product as it moves further into production and scales across additional modules and business processes

Promote effective use of AI and LLM-based tools within the engineering workflow

Tech Stack:Python, Node.js, TypeScript

Schedule: 5/2, 8-hour working day (40 hr per week), flexible schedule. No late meetings and overtime.
