About the Opportunity

MIYO Health is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide virtual services for a Texas school district during the 2026–2027 school year. This fully remote opportunity offers the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful impact on students with visual impairments.

The selected provider will support a caseload of approximately 22 students , collaborating closely with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive high-quality educational services.
Responsibilities

- Provide direct virtual instruction and consultation services to students with visual impairments.

- Develop and implement individualized instructional plans aligned with each student's IEP.

- Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, related service providers, and families.

- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning.

- Monitor student progress and maintain timely, accurate documentation.

- Complete required service logs, progress reports, and compliance documentation.

- Communicate regularly with district personnel regarding student needs and progress.

Requirements
Qualifications

- Valid Texas certification as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) .

- Experience working with school-aged students with visual impairments.

- Previous virtual or teletherapy experience is preferred but not required.

- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

- Reliable high-speed internet and a private workspace suitable for telepractice.
