Qualifications

Bachelors degree in sciences, marine disciplines, or engineering or Marine First Class Certificate of Competency (Master Mariner (STCW II/2), Chief Engineer (STCW III/2)).
Knowledge and/or Experience

- 10 years seagoing experience as a shipboard engineer or sea officer, including 2 years as Chief Engineer or Master

- The Head of Marine shall be experienced in handling/ managing offshore marine units operating in the oil and gas industry.

- Marine and offshore installation experience, including management level or equivalent, with responsibility for managing offshore spreads and major offshore projects execution.

- Knowledge of oil and gas industry bodies, national and international maritime and shipping regulations.

- Strong operational marine knowledge.

- Knowledgeable in International Maritime Regulations, Codes and Standards.

- Experienced in handling and managing offshore marine units operating in the oil and gas industry.

- Broad and extensive knowledge of critical marine operations including offshore installation, construction vessels and barges, heavy lifts, transportation, pipe and cable lay, jack-up accommodation barges, and dive support vessels.

- Knowledge of Dynamic Positioning Systems & Operations, DP FMEA Analysis, DP FMEA Proving Trials, Annual DP Trials, ASOG/CAM.

- Experience on establishing and managing Marine Assurance & Compliance processes in accordance with Corporate requirements and international standards.

- Highly knowledgeable in International Maritime Regulations, Codes and Standards.

- Previous Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) and Marine Consultancy experience is advantageous.

- International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) accreditation & certification is preferred.
