Staff Fullstack Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a staff-level individual-contributor engineering role at an AI-native fintech SaaS company building modern Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) software for finance teams. You will partner closely with technical leadership to shape platform architecture from the ground up, with real influence over how the product scales and how the engineering culture is built.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Partner with leadership and teammates to prioritize and execute on the product roadmap.

- Design, develop, and own complex features and software components end to end.

- Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested code across the full stack.

- Establish engineering best practices and lay the foundation for a high-performing, collaborative team culture.

- Collaborate with Design and Operations teams to continuously improve the product.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 8+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years contributing to system design or architecture.

- Strong full-stack proficiency using TypeScript and JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend, with React experience required.

- Comfort with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, including architecting, deploying, and operating scalable services.

- Experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale.

- Solid testing discipline across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

- Demonstrated staff-level technical leadership: architecture ownership, mentoring engineers, and raising overall team effectiveness.

- Proven ability to partner with executives and cross-functional teams to define strategy, requirements, and deliverables.

- Genuine interest in staying on a senior individual-contributor track rather than pursuing a near-term executive or management path.

- A track record of stable, sustained tenures at previous employers.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: $185,000 to $240,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

LOCATION

Fully remote. Open to candidates based in the United States or Canada.
