Working under minimal supervision of the Manager, Web Development, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Senior Front-End Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing a modern web application using React, TypeScript, and related front-end technologies. This role independently leads complex development efforts, provides technical guidance, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality user experiences. Responsibilities include application architecture, feature development, troubleshooting, production support, work planning, code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement of front-end development practices. The Senior Front End Developer exercises sound judgment in resolving complex technical challenges and escalates only exceptional issues requiring management review or approval.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement features and functionality for modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and related front-end technologies.• Collaborate with developers, architects, analysts, UX designers, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.• Participate in application design and technical planning activities, contributing to architecture, component design, and implementation approaches.• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into scalable, maintainable, and reusable software solutions.• Leverage software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, including source control, code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production support requests.• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation details, and support documentation.• Ensure applications adhere to established coding standards, style guides, security requirements, policies, processes, and procedures.• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by evaluating and applying modern development tools, frameworks, and best practices.• Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.
