Senior Project Manager – Interior Construction Systems
Location: North America (Travel Required)

Position Overview:
Symbiotic Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager with expertise in complex interior construction projects, particularly within Division 5 and Division 9 scopes such as drywall, framing, and acoustical systems . This role will focus on integrating prefabricated interior solutions into conventional construction environments, ensuring seamless alignment with general contractor (GC) schedules and multi-trade coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Strategy & Execution
- Lead installations of prefabricated interior systems from pre-construction through closeout.
- Align scope delivery with GC master schedules and avoid trade conflicts.
- Interpret architectural and shop drawings into field-ready plans.
Field Coordination & Technical Oversight
- Collaborate with drywall, framing, acoustical, low-voltage, and glazing trades to integrate prefabricated systems.
- Conduct site inspections focused on layout, penetrations, and system interfaces.
- Ensure adherence to installation and integration standards on site.
Installer & Subcontractor Management
- Select and oversee installer teams and subcontractors, ensuring proper training and quality execution.
- Educate trades on sequencing, tolerances, and integration responsibilities.
Financial & Risk Management
- Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and lead project reviews.
- Track KPIs including gross margin, change orders, delays, and scope changes.
Documentation & Communication
- Oversee submittals, RFIs, permits, contracts, and close-out documentation.
- Develop real-time reporting dashboards for stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of construction experience, including 4+ years as a PM overseeing framing and drywall.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of drywall, ceiling sequencing, prefabricated systems, and construction coordination.
- Familiarity with Division 5/9, building codes, and jobsite safety.
- Proficiency in project management software and documentation platforms.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Willingness to travel for projects across North America.
Preferred Experience:
- Project management experience in healthcare, education, government, or high-end commercial interiors.
- Experience with union/non-union environments and subcontractor cost management.
