The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
The Sr. Data Architect will be responsible for the implementation of an enterprise HDFS environment that will provide long-term support to Sharp HealthCare advanced analytics. Must have the ability to follow and/or develop a sustainable process for development and delivery of assignments and contribute ideas to the expansion of tools and technology. Understand and apply standards in coding and testing and able to determine project requirements and timelines based on functional specifications, client requirements and system design. This position will also assist in the adoption of agile work flow in some development projects; and support existing tools and adoption of standard strategic tools to support the enterprise data warehouse and analytics program.
Required Qualifications
- 8 Years experience that includes logical and physical data modeling in a large data warehouse environment with a database architecture comparable to Sharp’s.
- Experience with Big Data technology including implementation of a HADOOP environment using common tools for data movement and development.
- Experience with complex systems integration, creating highly availablesystems, and experience with industry standard data modeling tools.
- Experience in designing architecture to support data virtualizationand advanced analytics operations.
- Experience with leadership, mentoring and training other technical staff members.
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or related area.

Determines design and implementation strategy for large scale databases within Information Systems using accepted framework and tools.
Develops a strategic plan for the overall architecture of the Data Analytics platform including the data warehouse and other analytic databases as needed.
Provides oversight to architects and developers in the system architecture and design strategy for all new projects to ensure optimal system performance and throughput.
Designs and communicates physical data model to data base administration and other technical resources.
Optimizes or revises existing data models and/or ETLs to ensure optimal performance.
Approves all new logical and physical models created by developers or architects prior to submission to database administration for execution.
Responsibility for the design and implementation of logical, physical and operational models for all large projects.
Reviews model design for all new data sources to ensure that standards are followed.
Oversee implementation strategies and develop necessary models and ETL to leverage the data warehouse to meet strategic goals and opportunities.
Sets the standard and approach for resolution of data quality issues and ensure follow-through to correction.

Analyzes, designs, programs, documents, and maintains computer application software and database files using standard programming conventions.
Interprets and translates functional specifications into efficient and effective code development.
Assists technical management in setting code standards to ensure efficient processing.
