Full timeTo advance the mission and purpose of InterVarsity , a Regional Ministry Coordinator provides ministry leadership and pastoral supervision across a region in an area of expertise (e.g. evangelism) or in work with a focused campus ministry (e.g. Greeks).

In addition to the core responsibilities of a Regional Ministry Coordinator, the Southeast Regional Black Campus Ministries (BCM) Coordinator provides specialized leadership for the development and expansion of Black Campus Ministry across the region. This role gives strategic attention to the spiritual formation, leadership development, and ministry effectiveness among Black students and Intervarsity staff, ensuring that BCM expressions are culturally grounded, theologically rich, and aligned with InterVarsity ’s mission of witnessing communities on campus.

The BCM Coordinator functions as a regional resource, coach, and ministry builder for Black student ministry across Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and predominantly White institutions (PWIs). This includes shaping regional vision for BCM, equipping staff and student leaders, and fostering sustainable ministry structures that lead to long-term growth and multiplication of Black witnessing communities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Ministry Leadership:

- Partner with others to increase the size, health, spiritual maturity, and influence in an assigned region and area of ministry

- Provide spiritual leadership to the region for your ministry area of focus/expertise

- Work with your supervisor to develop spiritual vision and strategy for your area of ministry for spiritual growth and transformation

- Participate and be fully engaged in the region to contribute to the accomplishment of plans, objectives and goals in your ministry area or expertise

- Facilitate and nurture collaborative relationship with other InterVarsity ministry staff

- Serve as a resource to the region in assigned area of focus/expertise including ministry strategies, programming and reports

- Make recommendations to enhance current ministry efforts

- Attend ministry staff meetings, conferences, and ministry events, as requested

- Coordinate and provide effective roll out of plans and programs to advance ministry efforts which may include training, communication, organization, and vision casting

- Update, report on, and clarify the development of ministry efforts

Primary Areas of Focus

- Leadership Development: Coaching and mentoring Black staff, student leaders, and supporting staff engaged in ministry to Black students across the region

- Movement Growth & Planting: Initiating and strengthening BCM chapters at HBCUs and PWIs, with attention to strategic campus selection and sustainable ministry models

- Culturally Relevant Programming: Designing and leading regional BCM gatherings, trainings, Bible studies, and conferences that address Black student identity, discipleship, and mission

- Collaboration & Integration: Partnering with Regional and Area Directors to align BCM strat
