About EnerVenue, Inc.

EnerVenue is a Silicon Valley-based energy infrastructure company commercializing metal-hydrogen battery technology originally developed by NASA for the Hubble Space Telescope and the International Space Station. Founded in 2020 by Stanford Professor Yi Cui, EnerVenue adapts this proven aerospace chemistry for grid-scale terrestrial energy storage, delivering batteries with 30,000+ cycle lifetimes, inherent fire-safety, and a 30-year design life.

In 2026, EnerVenue closed a $300 million Series B extension and is well capitalized for growth. Funds are being deployed to build a high-volume manufacturing facility in Changzhou, China, targeting 250 MWh capacity by Q3 2026 and 1 GWh by 2027. EnerVenue has been named one of Time magazine's Top 10 US Green Technology Companies of 2025.

The Role
We are seeking a technically rigorous and customer-focused Energy Storage Applications Engineer to bridge the gap between our advanced energy storage technology and real-world deployment. This is a strategic, hands-on role critical to our mission. You will translate customer requirements into optimized system designs, validate performance across diverse use cases, and ensure our solutions deliver measurable value in the field. Acting as the technical backbone of the commercial process, you will support sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams with modeling, integration guidance, technical sales support, and application expertise.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the Technical Pre-Sales Process:

- Serve as the primary technical partner to Sales throughout the commercial lifecycle—from initial qualification through contract execution.

- Shape deal strategy by translating customer use cases, financial objectives, and operating constraints into technically optimized, commercially compelling storage solutions.

Translate Market Opportunities Into Bankable Proposals

- Lead technical discovery sessions to define duty cycles, performance guarantees, augmentation strategies, and integration requirements.

- Develop robust energy storage models that quantify lifetime performance, degradation, efficiency, availability, and ROI.

- Produce detailed technical proposals and bid packages, including system sizing, single-line diagrams, performance assumptions, and compliance documentation.

Strengthen Technical Sales Enablement

- Partner with Sales to respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical due diligence requests with speed, accuracy, and credibility.

- Support customer meetings, executive presentations, and contract negotiations as the technical authority.

- Develop standardized tools, calculators, and modeling frameworks that improve proposal consistency, cycle time, and win rates.

- Manage customer facing technical documentation and work alongside technical teams to generate documentation as necessary for project proposals.

- Develop and/or review System designs, Single Lines, Layouts, Containerization, Performance guarantees, Availability guarantees, etc.

Amplify Marketing & Market Positioning

- Collaborate with Marketing to develop application notes, white papers, case studies, and technical content that articulate differentiated value.

- Translate complex engineering advantages into clear, benefit-driven messaging for target segments (utility-scale, C&I, microgrid).

- Provide technical input for product launches, webinars, conference presentations, and thought leadership initiatives.

Accelerate Cross-Functional Alignment

- Serve as a bridge from the Commercial team to Product and Engineering, ensuring customer requirements and emerging use cases inform the roadmap.

- Support commissioning readiness and early deployment to protect performance assumptions made during the sales process.

Position Requirements
The ideal candidate likely spent the first part of his or her career building deep technical foundations in power systems, battery engineering, PV + storage integration, or grid-connected infra
