This role runs the machine so the creative work can run ahead of it. You own everything involved in getting our content onto social media: the calendar, the captions, the scheduling, the publishing, the account admin and the inbox. When you are doing this job well, the Head of Content never has to sign into a social account (he only approves what youβre about to post), nothing goes out late, and nothing goes out that breaks our compliance rules.
Position description
You work directly with the Head of Organic, who owns content strategy across the company's brands and approves everything before it publishes.
The engagement starts part time, around 20 hours per week, and grows to full time as posting volume scales.
Accounts in scope: the company and founder accounts on Instagram, FB, Linkedin, X, Threads and TikTok, plus article repurposes, and whatever assistance the Head of Content asks for in relation to social media. Where another team runs a page, you coordinate with its operator rather than posting directly.
Approval flow: you draft and schedule in Vista Social, log everything onto the google sheet handed to you to keep everything organized with the Head of Organic where he will approve the posts, once approved in the sheet you may post using Vista Social, and nothing publishes without that approval.
One scheduled call each week. Everything else runs async in Slack, ClickUp and Vista Social.
Outcomes
The job breaks into four activities, assessed separately, because a person can be strong at one and weak at another and we want to know which is which.
Planning: keep a rolling content calendar in Vista Social for every account, filled at least seven days ahead, aligned to the content pillars set by the Head of Organic. No gaps, no last-minute scrambles.
Writing: draft captions and post copy in the brand voice. Plain English, educational, written for a wealthy and sceptical audience. Never hype.
Production: brief carousels and post graphics to the graphic designer, review what comes back against the brief, and load the finished assets. Where no designer is needed, build clean simple graphics yourself from our templates or templates that you may suggest given they fit the branding.
Publishing and community: schedule everything, including stories and the daily X and Instagram cadence, make sure it ships on time on the right account with the right handles and links, keep profiles and bios correct, and run replies and DMs inside the escalation rules below.
Calendar filled at least seven days ahead on every account, every week.
100% of approved posts publish on schedule. Zero unapproved posts ever go live.
Every post passes the compliance bar: educational only, no performance numbers, no income claims, no yield or return figures, never the word guaranteed.
Comments and DMs answered within 24 hours on working days. Like and reply to simple comments directly. Anything technical, sales related, sensitive, or asking for financial advice comes back to the Head of Content or the Head of Marketing for an answer, and you then reply on their behalf. Never answer those yourself.
A short weekly report: what shipped, what is scheduled, what performed, what is blocked.
Profile changes handled on request and done the same day where platforms allow: usernames, bios, profile pictures, banners and links, on any of our platforms.
Reply to messages in Slack within 3 hours of being tagged.
Maintain a less than 10% revision rate caused by missed instructions or careless errors.
