Dirty Tackle is a growing Australian fishing tackle brand looking for a proactive Social Media Manager to take ownership of our organic social media presence, primarily across Instagram and Facebook . We already have an established brand, growing customer base and a substantial library of fishing content from our team, customers, charter operators and content partners. We are not looking for someone to simply wait for instructions and schedule posts. We want someone who can take ownership of our social channels, understand our products and audience, identify opportunities within our available content, and keep Dirty Tackle consistently active and engaging. The Role You will be responsible for: * Managing our Instagram and Facebook presence * Planning and maintaining a monthly content calendar * Scheduling and publishing feed posts, Reels and Stories * Turning raw fishing footage and existing content into engaging social content * Writing captions consistent with the Dirty Tackle brand voice * Tagging and collaborating with anglers, charter operators, retailers and content partners * Identifying and repurposing customer-generated content (UGC) * Monitoring comments, engagement and relevant DMs * Proactively identifying gaps in our content and telling us what additional footage/assets are needed * Working with our internal team and external content creators * Reviewing performance and identifying what content is working * Bringing forward ideas rather than waiting for daily instructions What We’re Looking For Ideally you will have: * Proven experience managing social media for an e-commerce or consumer brand * Strong Instagram and Facebook experience * Experience producing/editing short-form video and Reels * Good written English and copywriting ability * Experience with Canva and common video editing tools * Strong organisation and communication * An understanding of UGC and creator/influencer content * A commercial mindset β€” we ultimately want social media activity to contribute to brand growth and sales Experience or genuine interest in fishing, boating, outdoors, adventure or sporting brands would be highly regarded. You do not need to be based in Australia. We are open to talented offshore candidates and are looking for someone interested in developing a long-term relationship with the brand. How to Apply Please include: 1. Links to 3 social media accounts you personally manage or have recently managed. 2. Explain exactly what you were responsible for on each account. 3. Provide examples of Reels or short-form video content you personally created or edited. 4. Tell us about your experience working with e-commerce brands. 5. Tell us what tools you use for editing, scheduling and content management. 6. Confirm your normal working hours and availability, including your ability to communicate during Australian business hours when required. 7. Tell us your proposed hourly or monthly rate. Important: Please also review Dirty Tackle’s current social media presence and briefly tell us three things you would improve or do differently. Generic or AI-generated applications that do not address these questions will not be considered. We are looking to appoint someone quickly and would like the successful candidate to commence before the end of August.
