Apply on original site โParadise Architectural Panels & Steel is an AISC-certified fabricator of architectural metal systems - ACM, perforated and phenolic panels, louvers, column covers, canopies, walkways, railings and structural steel. We are hiring a full-time Shop Drawing Drafter to work directly with our project managers and our fabrication shop.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Prepare shop drawings in AutoCAD 2D from architectural drawings, structural drawings, specifications and field measurements
- Develop plans, elevations and sections; fabrication details; installation details; framing and panel layouts; connection details; base plate and anchoring details
- Interpret architectural and structural plans and flag conflicts early
- Incorporate RFIs, ASIs, engineer and architect comments and redlines into revisions, tracked with revision clouds
- Coordinate with our structural engineer for signed and sealed packages
- Produce drawings detailed enough for our shop to fabricate from directly
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 2 to 3+ years preparing shop drawings for construction, preferably architectural metals or metal fabrication
- Advanced AutoCAD 2D (required). Bluebeam Revu preferred. Revit and Procore a plus
- Working knowledge of metal fabrication - materials, thicknesses, bends, welds, connections, tolerances
- Experience with ACM and aluminum panels, stainless cladding, steel and aluminum framing, canopies or railings is a strong plus
- Previous experience with a subcontractor or metal fabricator is strongly preferred over architectural-firm-only experience
- Technical English good enough to read specs and architect or engineer review comments
- Able to manage several projects at once and hit deadlines
SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Philippine time. Remote, long-term, working directly with our US-based team.
