SharePoint Developer
Overview
Planned Systems International (PSI), a Government Contractor, has an immediate opportunity for a SharePoint Developer for the Knowledge Management department of the Independent Enterprise Testing and Support Services (IETSS) contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OIT). This position will be part of the Test Management and Operations (TMO) Testing Process Quality Improvement (TPQI) Support team, which consists of Measurement and Metrics (MM), quality process management and process improvement, lessons learned, Change Management, Knowledge Management, internal Quality Audit Program, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process, and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) planning. The TPQI team supports and works closely with the Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Testing Intake Assessment services teams, as well as the Test Center (TC) systems analysts, systems administrators, database administrators (DBAs), the VA project manager (PM), VA Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and other divisions and stakeholders. The preferred location for this position is remote to the Tampa, FL area; however, candidates in other areas of the United States will be considered.
The SharePoint Developer supports the Knowledge Management (KM) team within the Testing Process Quality Improvement (TPQI) organization. SharePoint Development requires close collaboration with other teams within TPQI, within TMO and TC, and our VA counterparts.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
The position supports the development and continuous improvement of IETSS processes and workflows. The position also provides internal support to the organization including, but not limited to, SharePoint web application development and support, web content management, standardization, and management of document repositories.
The job function and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Serve as a SharePoint Administrator and Developer for the organization’s Intranet and document management system.
- Create SharePoint lists and libraries incorporating data sources.
- Develop SharePoint pages, sites, site collections, custom web parts, Power Apps-based canvas apps and list-based apps, and Power Automate workflows.
- Ensure site content is accurate and continually kept up to date.
- Manage permissions across multiple site collections.
- Working with VA, establishing and managing email distribution lists.
- Leverage SharePoint business intelligence capabilities via dashboard reporting (Excel services, SQL reporting services, etc.).
- Create and maintain Microsoft Teams groups, channels, permissions/user lists, and Teams-connected SharePoint sites.
- Work across IETSS teams to manage and maintain documentation repositories stored on Teams.
- Work within the IETSS teams to create and update documentation for SharePoint-based pages, sites, site collections, custom web parts, Power Apps-based canvas apps and list-based apps, and Power Automate workflows.
- Enforce VA client SharePoint governance policies, business rules, standards, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot issues encountered by end users.
- Work with the TPQI team to update, facilitate, and deliver briefings and training sessions.
- Conduct regularly scheduled web content audits.
- Collect and document user requirements, including gathering, analyzing, and summarizing information from stakeholders and research. Develop solutions and prototypes to address these and future requirements.
- Contribute to the Quality Process Management program.
- Support change, control, and configuration management (C3M) Program.
- Create supporting documentation (process documents, process flows, technical specifications, work instructions, etc.).
