Technical SEO & AI Systems Specialist

Remote - South Africa

We are looking for a talented and forward-thinking Technical SEO & AI Systems

Specialist to join our dynamic team. This full-time role goes beyond traditional SEO

- combining search expertise with WordPress management and AI-driven

development to support and scale multiple websites across multiple languages and

markets.

About the Role

This is not a traditional SEO position. While SEO is at the core of what you’ll do,

you’ll also play a key role in shaping how we use WordPress, automation, and AI

tools to improve performance, efficiency, and innovation across our projects.

You’ll be working at the intersection of SEO, web platforms, and emerging AI

technologies, helping us build smarter systems — not just optimise pages.

Importantly, you’ll be working on websites targeting multiple languages. You do not

need to speak these languages, but you should be comfortable applying SEO best

practices across different markets using tools, data, and structured processes.

Key Responsibilities

 SEO Strategy & Execution: Lead on-page and off-page SEO across multiple

websites and languages, driving visibility and growth.

 Technical SEO: Perform audits, resolve technical issues, and implement

improvements to site structure and performance.

 Backlinking: Develop and execute authority-building strategies to strengthen

rankings.

 Content Optimisation: Optimise content for search performance across

different languages using SEO tools and guidelines (no translation required).

 Analytics & Reporting: Monitor performance using Google Analytics and

Search Console, delivering clear insights and recommendations.

 Tool Utilisation: Use platforms such as SEMrush for keyword research,

competitor analysis, and opportunity discovery.

WordPress & Systems Development

 Manage and optimise WordPress websites, including themes, plugins, and

overall site performance.

 Work hands-on with plugin configuration, troubleshooting, and

enhancements.

 Support the development of custom dashboards, tools, and workflows to

improve SEO processes.

AI & Innovation

 Use AI tools (e.g. Claude and similar platforms) to streamline workflows,

generate ideas, and improve efficiency.

 Collaborate on building AI-assisted tools, plugins, and automations to

enhance SEO and internal operations.

 Stay up to date with emerging technologies and proactively suggest new ways

to improve how we work.

Requirements
Skills & Experience Required

 Strong experience in on-page and off-page SEO.

 Proven track record in technical SEO and backlinking strategies.

 Experience working with multi-language or international SEO (or

confidence in learning quickly).

 Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools

like SEMrush.

 Intermediate-level WordPress knowledge across content management,

plugins, and site structure.

 Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.

 Comfortable working with AI tools and exploring automation

opportunities.

 Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate insights clearly.

Benefits
Salary (No benefits unfortunately) - Ranging between R35 000 - R50 000 per month
