Responsibilities

Peraton 's Department of Interior (DOI) CHS III program will be leading the way for Cloud Hosting and Applications Modernization across DOI and its subordinate bureaus. CHS III will facilitate migration of legacy on-premises applications to a modern, secure and scalable multi-cloud platform. From sensors in active volcanic regions to earthquake detection data, CHS III will be DOI's central cloud processing and data solution.

Peraton is seeking a Senior Technology Architect to lead the design and adoption of high-performance computing (HPC) and AI-ready cloud platforms in support of federal mission operations. This role serves as a strategic technical leader and trusted advisor to senior government stakeholders, driving modernization, AI/ML enablement, and cloud transformation at scale within complex federal environments.
Roles and Responsibilities

- Lead the adoption and implementation of HPC and AI-ready cloud platforms, enabling mission groups to accelerate geospatial, scientific, and environmental modeling workflows.

- Serve as Innovation Lead driving the adoption of cutting-edge AI/ML tools and services (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, Q Developer, AI-augmented development platforms) for federal delivery.

- Identify and remove organizational barriers across people, operations, security, and network to enable first-of-kind AI/ML pilot workloads at scale in federal cloud environments.

- Brief and advise senior government leadership (ACIO-level and above) on technology strategy, modernization roadmaps, and emerging AI capabilities.

- Reduce cloud deployment timelines through automation and process innovation, compressing delivery cycles from months to weeks.

- Architect and deliver cloud infrastructure solutions aligned to federal security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST).

- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure mission-critical workloads are delivered on time and at scale.

- Develop and maintain technology roadmaps that align cloud and AI capabilities with agency mission priorities.
