Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Snowflake Data Engineer with a strong background in development and architecture. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake, experience in designing scalable data solutions, and a passion for optimizing cloud-based data platforms.

If you hold an Advanced Snowflake Architect Certification, it will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines and solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud platform.

- Architect scalable and secure data solutions tailored to client needs, leveraging Snowflake’s advanced features.

- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and processing.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders, to deliver business-critical data solutions.

- Ensure best practices in data architecture, security, and performance tuning within the Snowflake environment.

- Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering growth and technical excellence within the team.

- Stay abreast of Snowflake updates, emerging technologies, and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of systems.

Qualifications
Essential:

-   Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

-   5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Snowflake.

-   Proven expertise in designing and implementing data architectures on Snowflake.

-   Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.

-   Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools such as DBT, Matillion, or Informatica.

-   Strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing concepts, and cloud architectures.

-   Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Preferred:

-   Advanced Snowflake Architect Certification.

-   Experience with Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Time Travel, and Data Sharing.

-   Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.

-   Strong communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to drive projects to completion.
