Senior Product Manager, Data Asset Strategy
Role intro
This is a fully remote role within the United States.
As a Senior Product Manager on our Data Product team, you will own the strategy behind Turquoise's foundational data assets & flexible data dimensions that power every product vertical we build. Working alongside other product managers, data science, and solutions engineering, our team turns SME-informed business rules into the data layer that Data, Consumer, Contracts, and every future vertical build on top of. As we grow into new verticals and use cases, this role ensures our data foundation scales with us: built with intention, d with purpose, and ready before demand arrives.
Your primary mandate is internal: the sharper and more coherent our data strategy, the faster every other product team at Turquoise can ship. You'll need broad fluency across the healthcare data ecosystem, claims, contracting, and how different stakeholders use data to make decisions, with particular depth in pricing. You'll also need enough strategic range to anticipate what each vertical will need before they ask, and enough confidence to align teams around one d answer when priorities compete.
What You'll Do
Most of the time, you'll:
- Own the strategy and roadmap for d data assets in the areas you identify ahead of need, deciding what to build, what to extend, and what to defer.
- Anticipate where verticals will need d definitions, like "market," "utilization," or "plausibility," and get ahead of that need with a well-built, reusable asset.
- Design our data assets for maximum reuse across verticals, so each one is built once with intention and extended broadly rather than rebuilt per use case.
- Translate domain and business logic into asset requirements for Data Science.
- Set and maintain a d vocabulary for core data constructs, so "market" or "benchmark" means the same thing in Data, Contracts, Consumer, and be the person teams trust to align around one version when priorities compete.
- Track adoption and reuse of d data assets as a core measure of the strategy's success.
Some of the time, you'll:
- Participate in vertical roadmap planning alongside other product managers, bringing a quarter-or-more lead time on the data assets those roadmaps will need.
- Evaluate data assets we don't need yet but will, and build the case for when to invest.
- Partner with healthcare reimbursement SMEs to shape and validate asset logic.
- Contribute to the external data product strategy where it intersects with the internal foundation.
What you'll bring to the role
- Prior product management experience (3-5 years), ideally with real ownership over a data-centric roadmap, not just data-informed decisions.
- Direct experience with healthcare claims data and pricing mechanics, specifically how claims are adjudicated and paid against contracted rates.
- Exposure to price transparency data specifically is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of how different healthcare stakeholders (payers, providers, life sciences, employers/brokers, digital health and care navigation) actually use data to make decisions. The assets you shape will serve all of them, often differently.
- Comfort treating other internal teams as your customers, and skill at balancing proactive, self-directed roadmap work with planning built around other teams' timelines.
- Enough data fluency to reason clearly about data models, tradeoffs, and definitions, without needing to own or build the technical pipeline yourself.
A collaborative, low-ego approach to work that has enormous leverage across the org.
