We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Product Manager to lead the Documents Track, the financial engine of the Houzz Pro platform. This role is responsible for the mission-critical lifecycle of project documentation: from Bid Management and Estimates to Purchase Orders, Change Orders, and Invoicing.
This role centers on translating complex operational workflows and platform logic into intuitive product experiences. You will ensure our Pros can track project costs, issue billing, and manage cash flow with precision and ease. Working closely with cross-functional PMs, Engineering, and Design, you will build scalable tools that power the end-to-end Houzz Pro ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
- Product Strategy & Workflow Logic: Own the end-to-end document journey—from early customer lead to final paid invoice. Translate high-stakes business challenges into seamless, growth-oriented product strategies.
- Job Costing & Profitability: Build features that give Pros clear, real-time visibility into how Change Orders, Purchase Orders, and scope adjustments impact overall project margins.
- Data & System Integrity: Ensure financial documents and transaction flows maintain strict data accuracy, clear logic, and align seamlessly with the platform’s unified data model.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Payments, Reporting, Accounting and Core Platform teams to streamline document automation and deliver unified business insights to our pros.
- Execution Excellence: Write crisp PRDs, manage backlogs, and lead sprint planning to ship high-impact features that boost Pro efficiency and retention.
- Data-Driven Growth: Define and track core performance metrics such as feature adoption, document completion speed, and workflow conversion rates.
- Customer Empathy & UX Clarity: Partner directly with Product Design and our Pros to turn multi-step, administrative processes into intuitive, frictionless experiences that Pros love using every day.
At a Minimum, We’d Like You To Have
- Experience: 5+ years of Product Management experience owning complex, multi-step B2B SaaS workflows.
- Collaborative Leadership: Proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams (Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, and Support) to drive complex initiatives forward.
- Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to leverage quantitative data and product analytics to optimize user journeys and system performance.
- Systems Thinking: Strong aptitude for data modeling, workflow logic, status transitions, and handling edge cases across complex platform architecture.
- Global Collaboration: Willingness to work flexible hours to collaborate effectively with global development teams and international customers.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
- Accounting Logic: A baseline understanding of US business accounting workflows, job costing, or sales tax concepts.
- Financial & Business SaaS Background: Experience with invoicing, AP/AR workflows, billing, or ERP integrations (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Domain Context: Familiarity with the home construction, remodeling, or trade business operations.
