Senior Criminal Defense Attorney

Pay: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year

Location

Remote role within Florida, with required travel to Key West approximately every other month for 3–4 days at a time for court appearances (all travel expenses paid by our client). Must be based in the Orlando or Key West area.

This role requires recent, hands-on criminal defense experience on the defense side only. Plaintiff or prosecution backgrounds will not be considered.

Job Description

- Handle complex criminal defense matters from intake through resolution

- Appear in court regularly and manage hearings, motions, and trials

- Travel to Key West approximately every other month for court appearances lasting 3–4 days

- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients throughout their cases

- Work closely with the firms lead attorney as a trusted senior associate

- Maintain organized case files and consistent follow-through

- Contribute to a collaborative, low-ego team environment

Qualifications

- 6+ recent years of criminal defense experience

- Defense-side practice only

- Strong courtroom and litigation background

- Florida Bar admission in good standing

- Stable employment history

- Comfortable supporting a lead attorney rather than seeking partnership

- Willingness to travel periodically to Key West
