Senior Business Development Director NSO
We are seeking a Senior Business Development Director to play a key role in advancing growth across our Defense & Intelligence Sector. This position drives strategic planning, pipeline development, and capture initiatives for Mission Software business within the National Security & Operations (NSO) sector by providing high-impact contributions across the full business development lifecycle—from market research and opportunity identification to proposal development and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities: The Senior Business Development Director will be accountable for:
Business Development & Growth Support:

Execution of the NSO Strategic Plan/Vision, and the development and implementation of the Defensive Cyber Tools, Mission Command & Control Solutions, and related growth focus areas (pipeline, sales/conversion).

Short and long-term business and marketing strategies aligned with Defense & Intelligence Strategic Roadmap and NSO Vision, to include a focus on growth focus areas.

Pipeline development and maturity, to include managing the qualification of new opportunities, capture and engagement strategies, proposal preparation, and overall conversion of both tactical (on-contract, TDLs) and strategic sales. Pipeline metrics will include volume (qualified opportunities aligned to growth focus areas), velocity (pace of opportunities from qualification through pursuit), and quality (continuous improvement of pWin through engagements, positioning, solutioning, and key capture activities).
Strategic Planning & Market Positioning:

Develop campaign materials and presentations that articulate value proposition.

Identify and cultivate partners that will provide value to the company position for both market and individual benefit.
Pipeline & Capture Support:

Maintain Salesforce with accurate and detailed data to ensure that reporting is aligned with forecast and actuals. Accountable for data integrity and continuous oversight, as this data will be the authoritative source for all pipeline associated reporting.

Directs marketing campaigns to establish and cultivate key customer relationships, staffing/recruiting strategies, IR&D and technology investments, government relations, HR/people considerations.

Support a consistently high book-to-bill ratio (meet/exceed business plan), indicating robust new business acquisition relative to current project completion rates. This shows effective pipeline development and successful contract wins.
