Senior Account Director (Contract)
Position Overview The Senior Account Director is a strategic architect of talent and creative solutions. You aren't just managing a book of business; you are a vital partner to a complex, high-demand client, ensuring their creative ambitions are met with the exact right talent at the right time. You will bridge the gap between high-level client vision and the tactical execution of matchmaking, translating vague needs into clear, actionable job descriptions. As a leader within your pod, you will drive operational excellence, mentor talent, and act as a calm, decisive problem-solver who can navigate matrixed organizations to deliver results.
This position starts as an hourly w-2 estimated at 35-40 hours per week, with the potential of converting to full-time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Partnership & Creative Fluency
- Creative Translator: Act as a strategic peer to the client, demonstrating a deep understanding of their creative vision and functional needs to ensure our talent solutions align with their brand standards and business goals.
- Relationship Navigation: Build deep-rooted trust with senior stakeholders, moving beyond order taking to proactive advisory and risk mitigation within a demanding client environment.
- The Rosie Advocate: Serve as the primary coach and advocate for our working Rosies, ensuring they are positioned for success and their performance remains world-class.
- Proactive Innovation: Monitor industry trends and client signals to proactively recommend evolving capabilities and solutions.
Precision Matchmaking & Scoping
- Strategic Scoping: Take the lead in defining what the client actually needs. Translate complex client requests into high-fidelity, clear job descriptions that ensure successful matchmaking.
- Quality Control: Match and Vet top-tier marketing and creative talent, ensuring every Rosie placement is a precise fit for the client’s unique culture and technical requirements.
- Operational Solutioning: Continuously audit and improve ways of working. Identify friction points in the client/agency relationship and design repeatable, scalable processes to resolve them.
Financial & Growth Leadership
- Growth Architect: Partner with the Group Account Director to identify organic expansion opportunities, navigating the client’s internal matrix to find new ways we can provide value.
- Financial Rigor: Own the day-to-day financial oversight for assigned accounts/workstreams, including managing budgets, track, analyze and report on financial performance, and ensuring billing accuracy while protecting account health and profitability.
Team Leadership
- Pod Mentorship: Mentor and develop Account Executives, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and bias toward action.
- Calm Command: Model leadership under pressure, ensuring the pod operates with high emotional intelligence and operational discipline.
Qualifications/Core Competencies:
- 10+ years of experience within an agency or in-house creative environment, specifically managing high-touch, complex accounts.
- Creative Literacy: You understand the difference between a good brief and a great one. You can comfortably talk shop with Creative Directors and Strategy Leads.
- System Thinker: You don't just fix a problem once; you fix the process that caused it. You are a solution-oriented leader who thrives in the gray area of a maturing business.
