Remote Light Shopify Developer / IT Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Remote Light Shopify Developer / IT Specialist to support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and optimization of our Shopify-based e-commerce brands. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Shopify applications, configuring storefronts, performing light theme customizations, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience through quality assurance testing. This role requires strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment. The successful candidate is highly organized, adaptable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering reliable technical support while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and contributing to the long-term success of our e-commerce operations.
Key Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, audit, and troubleshoot third-party Shopify apps.

- Configure products, collections, metafields, navigation, and other storefront settings.

- Perform light theme customization using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.

- Troubleshoot and resolve Shopify theme and app-related issues.

- Conduct quality assurance (QA) testing across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

- Monitor store functionality and ensure a seamless user experience.

- Assist with Shopify integrations, updates, and ongoing store maintenance.

- Maintain accurate documentation of technical changes and configurations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement store improvements.

- Perform other duties related to the position as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Proficient level of English (written and spoken).

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and teammates.

- Previous experience working with Shopify stores is required.

- Experience installing, configuring, and managing Shopify applications.

- Knowledgeable with AI to utilize it effectively to improve productivity.

- Proficiency with Shopify Admin, products, collections, and metafields.

- Working knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.

- Experience troubleshooting Shopify themes and third-party app integrations.

- Understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and standard business tools (email, spreadsheets, document management).

- Out-of-the-box thinker, highly adaptable, reliable, self-motivated, and confident approach.

- Ability to quickly learn new systems, software, and workflows.

- Ability to understand and follow established processes accurately with minimal supervision.

- Ability to work U.S. Eastern Time (New York) business hours and adapt to business needs.
