QA Tester

This is a remote position.
We are looking to hire a Quality Assurance candidate for a global Islamic charity operating in 30 countries worldwide.
Requirements

- Perform manual and automated testing on software applications to identify defects and ensure they meet quality standards.

- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to test software functionality thoroughly and performance.

- Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide feedback on design and implementation.

- Document and track defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring that all issues are properly identified, prioritized, and resolved.

- Conduct regression testing to verify that defects have been fixed and to prevent regression issues from occurring.

- Participate in the review and analysis of software requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Communicate test results and quality metrics to project stakeholders, including management, in a clear and concise manner.

- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- Proven experience working as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.

- Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.

- Proficiency in using bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
