Job Summary
Voyager Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to help shape the future of lunar technologies and missions. Advanced Programs leads the company’s earliest stage work, from mission concept definition and long-term technology roadmapping to hands on development of breakthrough technologies that will power our next generation of lunar landers, surface systems, and spacecraft. In this role, you will end-to-end mission concept budgets and schedules for NASA, government, and commercial customers, directly influencing the technologies and architectures that will drive Astrobotic’s future lunar pursuits.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop program budgets and schedules for new concepts and designs of lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft.
- Support proposal content creation for mission opportunities and internal development programs.
- Contribute to programmatic topics such as schedules, resourcing, risks, and budgets estimations.
- Communicate with other engineering disciplines, partners, customers, and vendors to resolve technical risks and challenges.
- Build out bottoms up estimates, including bill of materials, cash flow models, and labor estimates.
- Occasionally participate in visits and technical interchange meetings with customers, supply chain, and partner organizations.
- Participate in cross functional team meetings to ensure project schedules and budgets comply with mission and business needs and company technology roadmap.
- Run internal early technology development projects and paid architecture studies, performing project management over budget, schedule, deliverables, and customer interfacing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Engineering or related discipline plus 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience. Relevant advanced degree will be considered in lieu of equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in project or program management, project finance, and program planning.
- Experience developing programmatic content for proposals and external customer presentations.
- Experience authoring and decomposing financial and contractual volumes.
- Strong understanding of the launch, space, and lunar environments.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills and able to self-start with minimal guidance.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, experienced working with a wide variety of engineers with different skill levels and backgrounds.
- Ability to adapt quickly, think creatively, make critical technical decisions, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
