Project Manager
This is a remote position.
Mission of the Role:
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to manage customer-facing service delivery projects. These projects involve software implementation and consulting services. This role will also identify and manage Moth + Flame’s internal process improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
We are looking for a full-time project manager, who has experience managing enterprise software delivery projects from the solution vendor’s side, with exceptional attention to detail. As our first in-house Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving cross-functional collaboration across remote teams to deliver high-quality VR training modules on time and within budget. You’ll be responsible for aligning stakeholders, tracking progress, managing risk, and ensuring every deliverable meets expectations—without directly managing staff.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, communicates clearly, and excels at orchestrating complex, multi-disciplinary projects. This is a full-time, remote, work-from-anywhere in the US role.
Outcomes:

Establish and Standardize Project Management Processes. Design and implement scalable project management processes tailored to a fully-remote, cross-functional team. This includes standardized workflows, reporting formats, documentation practices, and tools that improve visibility and accountability across all active projects.

Build a Centralized Program Dashboard. Develop and maintain a centralized, real-time dashboard or reporting system that tracks project status, key milestones, risks, and dependencies—providing clear visibility to leadership and stakeholders.

Improve Cross-Functional Team Efficiency. Identify and implement at least three key improvements that enhance collaboration between engineers, designers, and producers, resulting in measurable gains in team velocity, reduced bottlenecks, or improved sprint delivery rates.

Strengthen Risk Management and Delivery Predictability. Establish a proactive risk management framework that reduces scope creep and missed deadlines. By year-end, increase on-time project delivery rate by at least 25% compared to the previous year’s baseline (if available) or set a new benchmark.

Program Overs ight: Own the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple concurrent VR training projects from kickoff through delivery.

Cross-functional Leadership: Work closely with engineers, designers, and technical producers to align milestones and deliverables with strategic objectives.

Project Planning: Define scope, timelines, resource needs, and success metrics in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Communication Hub: Act as the central point of contact for project status, risks, and changes—ensuring transparency across teams and leadership.

Process Optimization: Introduce and refine project management processes and tools suited to a remote and agile environment.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet internal and client standards for quality, usability, and technical performance.

Risk Management: Identify project risks early and work proactively with teams to resolve bottlenecks or blockers.

Budget & Timeline Stewardship: Monitor project budgets and schedules, ensuring adherence to financial and delivery goals.
