About Us: We create honest, thoughtful content for parents who are tired of being talked down to. Our podcast explores the inner life of parenthood through warm, candid conversations. It is real talk, rather than another list of parenting hacks. We are expanding our content production and looking for a reliable, detail-oriented editor who can turn each podcast episode into polished audio and engaging social content. This role also includes light virtual-assistant support related to publishing and content organization. (If you're reading this closely, great! What You'll Do: Podcast Editing Edit raw podcast audio into polished, publish-ready episodes Remove dead air, false starts, distractions, and unnecessary repetition Smooth transitions and maintain a natural conversational flow Level and clean audio, then add intro music, outro music, and light sound design Create episode show notes, descriptions and timestamps Prep episodes for distribution across podcast platforms Content Creation: Turn podcast episodes into short-form clips for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts Add captions, basic motion graphics, and platform-appropriate formatting Create simple branded graphics and social posts using our Canva templates Help draft captions and copy in our brand voice (warm, honest, a little cheeky, never preachy) General VA Support: Maintain our content calendar and posting schedule Keep project-management tools updated and current Light research and admin tasks as needed Help create a consistent, dependable workflow for each episode What We're Looking For: Experience editing podcasts, audio, or video content A portfolio or samples that demonstrate strong editing judgment Strong written English and a good ear for pacing, tone, and voice Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly Careful attention to detail and comfort following an established workflow Experience creating short-form video content for social platforms Tools: You should be comfortable with several of the following: Riverside Descript Adobe Audition or Premiere Pro CapCut Canva Google Workspace Squarespace Flodesk AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT Experience with every platform is not required. We value strong editing skills, reliability, and the ability to learn new tools. Helpful Experience: Experience with parenting, motherhood, wellness, family-lifestyle, or creator-led brands is a plus. Familiarity with conversational, interview-based, or parenting podcasts would be especially helpful. Role Details: Hours: Part-time, under 20 hours per month to start, with the possibility of additional hours as we grow Pay: Hourly.
