Part-Time Bookkeeper (Xero + Dext) – UK Property Group

**PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER (XERO + DEXT) – UK PROPERTY EDUCATION & CONSULTANCY GROUP** Remote | 5–10 hours/month| Ongoing role | $4–$6/hour | We’re a UK-based business group operating within the property education and consultancy space. We’re looking for a reliable, detail-focused bookkeeper to support our accounts using Xero and Dext. This is an ongoing, part-time role starting at around 5 hours per week, with the potential to grow as transaction volume continues to increase. Importantly: this is not a rescue mission. Our bookkeeping is already tidy and well-managed - we simply need additional support due to growing volume. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** Reconciling bank transactions in Xero Matching payments to invoices (Stripe / GoCardless / BACS) Processing receipts and invoices in Dext, then publishing to Xero Keeping records accurate, organised, and consistently coded Using suspense accounts where something is unclear and flagging issues for review Producing reporting, including: Producing & Reporting Profit & Loss (P&L) Producing & Reporting Balance Sheets Providing a brief weekly update confirming what’s been completed and any queries requiring input **WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT ** This is a bookkeeping and reporting role, not a senior accountant position. You will not be responsible for: VAT returns Payroll Tax filings Making judgement-heavy accounting decisions Those responsibilities remain with the business owner and/or accountant. **SYSTEMS YOU'LL USE** Xero (UK businesses) Dext Google Drive (for reporting / exports) Stripe **REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)** To be considered, you must have: Proven experience using Xero (UK clients preferred) Experience producing P&L and Balance Sheet reports High attention to detail and a tidy, consistent approach The confidence to raise issues when something doesn’t look right (not guess) Ability to work independently and hit weekly deadlines Availability for brief overlap with UK working hours Very good written and spoken English (essential for clear communication and reporting) **HOURS & PAY** 5–10 hours per month nitially $4–$6/hour depending on experience 3-week paid trial to confirm the role is a good long-term fit **To Apply** Please fill in this form: ---------- Closing date for applications: Sunday 23rd August, 20:00 GMT.
