National Personal Lines Practice Leader
Position Summary:
The National Personal Lines Practice Leader is the enterprise executive responsible for defining and advancing the vision, strategy, capabilities, and market leadership of the Personal Lines business across the organization.
Operating within a matrixed and evolving organization, this leader serves as the firm’s foremost authority on Personal Lines, setting strategic direction, advancing specialization, enabling growth, strengthening carrier relationships, and elevating practice excellence. Regional and local leaders remain critical to execution within their markets, while the National Personal Lines Practice Leader provides the enterprise framework, expertise, and leadership to accelerate growth, improve client outcomes, and strengthen market differentiation. This leader will define how the organization segments the Personal Lines marketplace, prioritizes client niches, and builds specialized capabilities to serve distinct customer groups and risk profiles.
As a member of the senior leadership team, the National Practice Leader will help build a more integrated, scalable, and client-centric enterprise while shaping the future Personal Lines operating model, including structure, capabilities, leadership roles, and decision rights as the business evolves.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Strategy & Practice Leadership
- Develop and execute a multi-year Personal Lines strategy aligned with enterprise growth objectives.
- Define market segmentation, specialization priorities, and value propositions to drive growth, differentiation, and client success.
- Lead the ongoing evolution of the Personal Lines operating model, ensuring scalability, consistency, and operational excellence.
- Advise executive leadership on industry trends, market opportunities, competitive dynamics, and strategic risks.
Growth & Market Development
- Partner with regional leaders and business development teams to drive organic growth and improve market penetration.
- Develop segment-specific sales strategies, client engagement models, and growth initiatives.
- Support complex client opportunities, large account pursuits, and cross-selling efforts across the organization.
- Equip producers and service teams with tools, training, and best practices that improve growth and retention outcomes.
Industry Expertise & Carrier Relations
- Serve as the organization's leading Personal Lines subject matter expert and external ambassador.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and carrier forums.
- Build and strengthen executive-level relationships with carriers and strategic partners to expand market access, enhance client solutions, and improve placement outcomes.
