Multiple Positions for Experienced Preschool Teacher and Tech/Fine Arts Coach

We are seeking to fill TWO different positions. The first position is for a full-time preschool teacher for ages 3-6. The second position is for a Computer Arts Coach. Successful applicants will start in March 2027 or ASAP depending on visa situation. More information can be found below. Location: M’s English, Takasaki City and Maebashi City, Gunma General Company Job Description and Duties: - must hold a valid International Driving Permit or Japanese Driver’s License - must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field - demonstrate fluent English ability - claim citizenship from a country where the official language is English - participate in all school events. a. Events can include elementary students’ performances, seasonal events, textbook fairs, etc. b. Events/performances typically occur on a Sunday. There are at least 6 events in an academic year. Staff attendance is mandatory for assigned events, and a special Event Fee will be paid for this time. - General Staff Meetings are held twice a year (Spring / Fall) and typically occur on a Monday. Staff attendance is mandatory for these meetings. Staff will be paid either a flat fee for the day or an hourly rate, depending on the situation. - Participate in planning and making materials - 40-hour / 5-day working week with consecutive days off Company Philosophy: 1. Preschool Teacher Job Description and Duties: - Plan age-appropriate (3-6 years old) educational activities - manage classroom behavior - monitor developmental milestones - partner with Japanese co-teacher to create a safe, play-based and nurturing environment - have minimum 3 years of preschool teaching experience - IB education experience highly preferred - Main/Lead teacher experience highly preferred Computer Arts Coach Job Description and Duties - Be a mentor to the students - Assist students in the Self-Learning Phase and Onboarding Phase at TUMO: - Track the students overall performance using the TUMO360 system - Guide and support students throughout their TUMO journey - Scheduling, help with activities, motivation, personal life - Help students grow their skills both hard skills and soft skills - Coaches must have basic knowledge in all the skill areas - Being knowledgeable about popular media is a bonus: find common interests in games, anime, drawing, shows, movies and art - Be an intermediary between workshop leaders and the students - Explain activity requirements - Office Work Requirements: - Proficiency in Japanese (N2 Level or above) - Able to communicate with students, staff, parents and officials both verbally and through email/text - Read/write reports and spreadsheets in Japanese - Explain and give presentations in Japanese - Computer Skill Knowledge - Ability to solve problems and critical thinking related to software and design - Ability to complete all the TUMO Activities over time (for every skill, levels both 1 and 2) Other - No accessories or piercings (more than one) - Natural hair color (up to one tone up is allowed such as a dark brown) - Presentable hair style and clothing (currently uniform shirt and vest is required, especially when government officials and visitors come) About us: M’s English is an expanding private English conversation school with 25 years of experience in the Maebashi-Takasaki area of Gunma Prefecture, offering a dynamic work environment to its teachers.
