LOCAL SEO SPECIALIST — GBP + WORDPRESS/ELEMENTOR (AI-ASSISTED)

ABOUT THE ROLE Long-term role. Paid test project before hire. We do local SEO for US home service businesses: HVAC, chimney, garage door, air duct cleaning, and similar trades. The job is simple to describe and hard to do: get our clients into the top 3 of the Google Maps pack in their city, and keep them there. We are hiring ONE person to own the local SEO work across our client accounts. We work with AI. Claude is part of our daily workflow, it builds pages, writes drafts, and handles repetitive work. Your job is to know what good local SEO looks like, direct the AI, and catch it when it is wrong. If you are not already using AI in your work, this role is not for you. You do not need to know our exact system , we record every process and we train you. But you need to already understand local SEO. We are not teaching it from zero on our clients' accounts. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles: categories, services, descriptions, products, photos, Q&A, posts, review responses - Audit client websites and fix what is holding the map pack ranking back - Build and optimize service pages in WordPress using Elementor - On-page SEO: titles, meta, headings, internal linking, schema - Citations and local listings (Bing, Apple Maps, Yelp, BBB, and others) - Off-page: local link building, chamber of commerce, sponsorships, community and press mentions - Use Claude to speed up research, drafts, and page builds; then review and fix the output before it goes live - Track rankings with geo-grid tools and report what moved and why This is back-end work. No sales calls and no client calls. MUST HAVE (we will verify these) - 1+ years hands-on local SEO: Google Business Profile optimization and Google Maps ranking - At least one business you personally moved into the top 3 of the map pack , you will give us the business name and city so we can check it - You already use AI (Claude or ChatGPT) in your SEO work every week, and you know where NOT to trust it - WordPress: comfortable building and editing pages, no hand-holding - Elementor: you can build a service page from scratch and match an existing design. Not optional ; most of our sites run on it - Solid written English, and able to explain your own approach in your own words - Reliable internet and a backup plan for outages PREFERRED (not required, but it moves you to the top of the list) - US home service / trades clients - Link building and off-page SEO - AI search optimization ; getting a business cited and recommended by ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity (sometimes called GEO or AEO). Entity building, schema, semantic triples, llms.txt - Claude Code, Claude Projects, or MCP — anything beyond basic chat - GoHighLevel (GHL) - Rank Math or Yoast, schema markup, Google Search Console - Geo-grid rank tracking tools (Local Dominator, Local Falcon, or similar) WHAT WE PROVIDE - Recorded training on our exact process and checklists - Ongoing lessons and feedback - All tools and access you need, including AI tools - Long-term, stable work with room to grow as we add clients HOW TO APPLY Do not send a generic application.
