We are looking for a Lead of Trading Operations to build, lead, and evolve our global Trading Operations function. This role sits at the intersection of trading, technology, and risk management, and is mission-critical for ensuring resilient and scalable execution processes across markets and time zones.

You’ll lead a team that owns operational integrity end-to-end: from pre-market checks to intraday monitoring and post-trade reconciliations, managing tooling and SLAs, and collaborating with trading, dev, quant, and compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Ownership
-
Design and continuously refine pre-/post-session checklists, intraday monitoring protocols, and post-trade processes

-
Build and enforce intrasession controls and real-time invariants across trading systems

-
Develop and execute escalation playbooks for operational incidents

Performance & Capacity Management
-
Monitor capacity trends across venues, instruments, and internal systems

-
Define KPIs and maintain SLAs (latency, fill rates, reconciliation windows)

-
Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks

Anomaly Detection & Incident Response
-
Oversee systems and workflows for anomaly detection (latency spikes, data mismatches, P&L gaps)

-
Lead structured post-mortems, track root causes and remediation

Continuous Improvement
- Drive automation across key workflows

-
Evolve internal dashboards, monitoring systems, and alerting infrastructure

-
Build a culture of proactivity and robustness over reactivity

Team Leadership
-
Build and lead a globally distributed ops team

-
Define clear growth paths and mentor junior team members

-
Balance tactical execution with strategic planning

Cross-functional Collaboration
-
Align workflows with trading strategies and market structure

-
Partner with engineering for deployment/rollback reliability

-
Work with quant teams to understand model behavior and failure modes

-
Ensure audit-readiness and compliance with relevant regulations

Requirements

Experience

-
7+ years in trading operations, execution support, or trading infrastructure roles at a prop shop, hedge fund, or electronic market-maker

-
Proven track record managing trading operations across multiple asset classes (equities, futures, FX, options)

-
Experience building and scaling ops processes in high-uptime, low-latency environments

Technical & Functional Skills
-
Deep understanding of electronic execution flows: order lifecycle, market connectivity, clearing & settlement

-
Familiarity with FIX, proprietary APIs, drop copies, and post-trade reconciliation tooling

-
Strong grasp of infrastructure monitoring concepts (latency tracking, failover, system health)

-
Ability to define and implement intrasession checks, automated alerting, and risk controls

-
Comfortable working with dashboards (Grafana, Kibana, etc.) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) is a plus

Leadership & Communication
-
Experience leading globally distributed teams and managing through follow-the-sun workflows

-
Clear communicator — able to synthesize incidents and drive postmortems with traders, engineers, and executives

-
Operational mindset with a bias for process design, reliability, and ownership under pressure

Mindset
-
Hands-on, low-ego operator with a high bar for quality

-
Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments with limited structure

-
Proactive, curious, and deeply invested in building scalable systems that “just work”

Benefits

-
Highly competitive base salary , benchmarked against leading trading firms

-
Remote-first policy with optional relocation support for Dubai HQ

-
Flexible time off , including market holidays coverage structure

-
Home office stipend and equipment coverage

-
Regular offsites and team gatherings in global locations

-
Flat structure with direct access to trading, tech, and leadership
