πŸ’Ό About the role

DotWorld is a fast-growing Venture Builder and SaaS Studio, operating several subscription SaaS products at scale. Data is recognized as a strategic pillar of the group, and we are now building our data department in-house.

As a Data Engineer, you will join this department as it takes shape, working alongside its Lead. Your mission: grow our Data Warehouse. You will help consolidate and extend the scope of our data - payments as well as product data - and model our payment flows, so we have reliable data ready for reporting and decision-making.

Your work will directly shape how the group is steered: the pipelines you build will make it possible to compute customer LTV, define our target CPAs, and thus drive our advertising spend. A role where you will learn a lot - and where what you build actually gets used.
πŸ‘₯ The team

You will join the data department, reporting directly to the CEO and currently being built from the ground up. The team starts at two: Youssef JANJAR, our Head of Data and your direct manager, and you - the department's first hire. The team is set to grow quickly: you will have a front-row seat in a "build everything" environment. You will also work closely with the payment and product teams.
πŸ“‚ Your responsibilities

Get up to speed on access: payment and billing data APIs, Data Warehouse (currently hosted in SQL)

-
Understand the business model and the data behind it

-
Brainstorm data and ETL/ELT pipeline architecture with the Head of Data

Business needs gathering

-
Talk to the relevant teams (payment, product) to understand their data needs

-
Harmonize sources and make data accessible

Build & automation

-
Develop integrations into the Data Warehouse (ETL/ELT pipelines)

Model raw data into clean tables (fact/dimension tables, right granularity)

- Automate processing with Python scripts

-
Build clear dashboards for business teams

-
Define and implement data validation tests

⭐ Your profile

Appetite for a startup environment where everything is still to be built

-
Big plus if you have already worked with online payment data and APIs

Technical skills

-
Must-haves:

- Solid SQL

- Git and Unix commands

-
Data modeling fundamentals: fact/dimension tables, right granularity

-
Warehouse maintenance fundamentals: full vs incremental loads, merge/upsert, re-runnable/idempotent pipelines

-
AI native: proficient with AI coding tools to move fast (Claude Code preferred, Cursor/Copilot ok)

βœ… What makes this role attractive

-

-
Close mentorship: direct coaching from the Head of Data, who reports to the CEO - accelerated learning

-
Real impact: your work is actually used by internal teams to make decisions

-
Skill growth: data engineering fundamentals plus bonus topics (dbt, Dagster, cloud, payment data)
