\[Overview] J PREP’s EA (English for Academic Purposes) College Admission program is seeking an All-English Course Coordinator to join our team of educators focused on preparing students for entrance exams to their first-choice universities in Japan. The Course Coordinator will create and maintain top-notch English curriculum under the direction of the Content Manager in addition to supporting core operations. \[About J PREP EA College Admission] J PREP’s EA College Admission is a three-year program for senior high school students. Its goal is to help our students gain admittance to competitive and ultra-competitive domestic universities and programs. As opposed to our other traditional cram schools, J PREP views the entrance exams as not the end of the students’ studies but as one important moment on the students’ journey to becoming global leaders in their chosen fields. Our students are extremely motivated, and we are seeking equally motivated, expert staff to help them reach the next level. \[Position Description] In this role, the successful candidate will assist in developing and maintaining the EA College Admission English content/curriculum. The role is comprised of both specialized duties (~50%) and common duties (~50%). Specialized duties include but are not limited to: • creating and updating high-level English content, curriculum, and lesson plans under the direction of the Content Manager. • proofreading and quality checking content and teaching materials. Additional specialized duties may include: • researching the Japanese entrance-exam system and conducting research on how J PREP can better improve its offerings for senior high school students. • analyzing entrance exam trends and offering data-based recommendations on program improvements. • developing new course offerings for J PREP’s seasonal sessions. Common duties include but are not limited to: • assisting in monitoring and supervising sites where lessons are held. • teaching approximately six hours a week. • performing quality checks and providing feedback for instructors’ grading of students’ writing • grading student writings and correcting student work. • substituting classes. \[We offer] • Salary: 4,400,000 – 5,800,000 (includes 20 hours of paid overtime) • a supportive team to help you succeed. • enrollment in pension and social health insurance. • transportation reimbursement. • 3 days paid leave granted upon joining with additional days given after 6 months of employment depending on date joined.
