Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan camera requirements based on site, vehicle dimensions, and ML requirements, including camera configurations, specifications/models, and mounting arrangements.
2. Configure new cameras end-to-end through the web UI or VAPIX/ISAPI, including resolution, codec, bitrate, shutter speed, WDR, P-Iris, day/night mode, IR, white balance, NTP, ONVIF/RTSP, firmware, and user accounts.
3. Commission sites remotely with on-site installers by verifying framing, adjusting PTZ settings, confirming image quality with the ML team, and signing off camera-ready sites.
4. Monitor camera health across all client sites and remotely diagnose issues such as cameras going offline, black-and-white images, focus issues, exposure problems, and frame drops.
5. Fix camera issues through the web UI where possible and coordinate with installer or maintenance teams when physical fixes are required.
6. Set up alerts to monitor camera uptime and uploads.
7. Manage firmware versions, rotate credentials, manage certificates, and document all changes.
8. Maintain per-site camera configuration records, including model, firmware, IP plan, settings profile, and last-verified date.
