The Role
Role Purpose
The Investment Associate supports the origination, evaluation, execution and monitoring of investments across the Firm, its Funds and the SPVs through which investments are held.
Working closely with the CEO, COO and CFO, the role provides the analytical, transactional and communications support required by a lean investment team—from initial screening and SPV establishment through to transaction completion, portfolio monitoring and investor reporting.
This is a hands-on position offering broad exposure across investment management, deal execution, investor relations and investment operations.

The Firm has onboarded executive management, including a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, and is building the operational platform required for its next stage of growth.
The Firm is digitalising its operations through a governed document-management system, a centralised action register and a scalable, automated operating model supporting a deliberately lean team.
This position forms part of the next stage of the Firm's growth and platform development.
Key Responsibilities
Investment and Deal Execution
- Manage live transactions from commencement through to completion under the COO's direction.
- Coordinate transaction timetables, data rooms, counterparties and external advisers.
- Support commercial, financial, legal and operational due diligence.
- Monitor transaction requirements, outstanding actions and closing deliverables.
- Ensure transaction records and supporting documentation remain complete and audit-ready.
Financial Analysis and Modelling
- Build and maintain financial models, valuations and sensitivity analyses.
- Conduct commercial, market, industry and counterparty due diligence.
- Analyse financial performance, operating metrics and investment risks.
- Prepare clear recommendations and supporting analysis for investment decisions.
- Review investment assumptions and identify material risks, sensitivities and value drivers.
Investment Memoranda and Committee Papers
- Prepare investment memoranda, Investment Committee papers and transaction summaries.
- Produce post-completion reviews and portfolio updates.
- Ensure all materials are prepared to a Board-ready and investor-ready standard.
- Coordinate supporting information and respond to questions arising during the approval process.
SPV Establishment and Administration
- Work with the COO to establish and maintain investment SPVs.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, outsourced service providers and the fund administrator.
- Support the preparation of constitutional documents, registers, bank accounts and closing documentation.
- Manage SPV establishment and transaction-closing mechanics.
- Maintain accurate and complete records throughout the SPV lifecycle.
Portfolio Monitoring and Investment Pipeline
- Monitor portfolio performance, financial results and key operating indicators.
- Support the CFO's quarterly valuation process using IPEV methodology.
- Gather and analyse underlying financial and operational data from portfolio companies.
- Maintain portfolio schedules, investment records and performance reporting.
- Support origination through funding-round tracking, secondary-market monitoring and broker-flow analysis.
- Maintain the investment target pipeline and transaction schedules.
- Identify and escalate emerging market, sector and investment themes to the CEO and COO.
Investor Relations and Communications
- Support fundraising activities and ongoing investor communications.
