The DCX Client Services – Home-Based Cost Accounting Manager will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to support a leading U.S.-based consumer apparel brand with a complex global inventory operation. You will play a critical role in strengthening the company's inventory costing processes, improving operational efficiencies, and supporting accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in inventory and cost accounting within manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, or other inventory-intensive industries. You are analytical, process-oriented, and comfortable working with large datasets, ERP systems, and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Lead the company's month-end inventory costing update process and provide guidance to the Staff Cost Accountant.

- Perform monthly inventory costing activities, including standard cost updates.

- Analyze inventory transactions and allocate production costs, freight, duties, FOB charges, and other landed costs.

- Review purchase orders and compare actual landed costs against expected costs.

- Maintain and update standard costs within the company's ERP system.

- Analyze cost variances, identify root causes, and collaborate with sourcing, production, and operations teams to resolve issues.

- Support month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting.

- Perform inventory reconciliations and valuation analysis.

- Review domestic production costing and conduct monthly cost analyses.

- Partner with Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to improve costing accuracy and reporting.

- Support internal and external audit activities related to inventory and cost accounting.

- Recommend process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and introduce cost accounting best practices.

- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and financial analysis as assigned.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience

- Minimum of 2–4 years of Cost Accounting experience .

- Experience in Manufacturing, Consumer Goods (CPG), Apparel, Retail, Distribution, eCommerce, or other inventory-based industries .

- Experience supporting complex inventory environments with multiple manufacturing locations is highly preferred.

Language Proficiency

Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Work Schedule

Ability to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or within U.S. operating hours.
Technical Skills

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Advanced Formulas, Data Analysis).

- Experience working with enterprise-level ERP systems.

- Strong understanding of:
- Standard Costing

- Inventory Valuation

- Cost Variance Analysis

- Landed Cost Accounting (FOB, Freight, Duties, Agent Fees)

- Ability to analyze large datasets and produce meaningful financial insights.

Industry Specific Software/Knowledge

- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)

- Inventory accounting and valuation

- Manufacturing cost accounting

- International supply chain and inventory costing

- Internal controls and process improvement

- Audit support and financial compliance
