Grants Manager - Europe,Part Time
About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Grants Manager/Specialist to work on VendueTech ’s grant funding function. Grants are a meaningful part of how we fund our growth - we’re active across programmes including Eurostars and Digit for Bridge, and activity in this area is increasing.
This is a dedicated, standalone role. Reporting directly to our COO, you’ll act as a true number two on all grant-related work: identifying opportunities, shaping and submitting applications, and owning compliance and reporting through the full award lifecycle.
You’ll need to understand how VendueTech ’s R&D story maps to fundable proposals, and work closely with leadership to ensure we’re consistently positioned to win the funding that accelerates our roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Opportunity Identification & Pipeline
-
Monitor and evaluate grant funding opportunities relevant to VendueTech ’s R&D and commercial activities, including EU programmes, national schemes, and bilateral instruments
-
Maintain a live grants pipeline: deadlines, eligibility windows, funding amounts, and strategic fit
-
Brief leadership on new opportunities and make clear recommendations on where to invest application effort
Application Development & Submission
-
Lead end-to-end development of grant applications - from narrative structuring and work package design to budget preparation and final submission
-
Translate VendueTech ’s technical and commercial work into compelling, fundable proposals tailored to each programme’s criteria
-
Coordinate internally to gather inputs from technical, finance, and leadership teams without creating bottlenecks
-
Manage submission timelines with precision - no missed deadlines
Compliance & Post-Award Management
-
Own compliance obligations across active awards: reporting schedules, milestone tracking, spend eligibility, and auditor-ready documentation
-
Coordinate with finance and operations to ensure grant expenditure is correctly attributed and evidenced
-
Manage relationships with funding bodies and programme managers throughout the award period
Strategy & Stakeholder Communication
-
Work closely with our COO to develop VendueTech ’s grants strategy: which programmes to pursue, how to position the company, and how to build track record over time
-
Produce clear, concise updates for leadership on grant status, upcoming submissions, and awarded funds
-
Identify and engage consortium partners or external experts where programmes require collaborative applications
What You’ll Bring
-
3–7 years of grants management experience with a demonstrable track record of successful applications to competitive programmes
-
Hands-on experience with EU or European funding instruments - Eurostars, Horizon, Interreg, or similar; familiarity with Digit for Bridge is a strong plus
-
Strong application writing skills: you can take complex technical and R&D work and make it compelling on paper
-
Rigorous attention to deadlines, compliance requirements, and documentation and post-award discipline is as important to you as winning the application
-
Comfortable working directly with senior leadership and managing upwards with confidence
-
Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity, you build structure where none exists and don’t wait to be told what to prioritise
-
Experience in or alongside early-stage, R&D-intensive companies is a strong advantage
