We need a specialist to correctly set up conversion tracking on our website so our Google Ads campaigns can optimize properly. This is NOT a general admin VA role — we're specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience configuring Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Google Ads conversion actions. If tracking is set up wrong, our ad spend gets wasted on bad signals, so accuracy matters more than speed. This could be a one-time project to start, with the possibility of ongoing hours for campaign optimization support if it goes well. What You'll Be Doing Auditing our current website and Google Ads account to identify what conversion tracking is missing or broken Installing/configuring Google Tag Manager (or fixing an existing GTM container) Setting up GA4 events and linking them as conversions Creating and verifying Google Ads conversion actions (form submissions, purchases, calls, sign-ups — will confirm exact goals with you) Setting up Enhanced Conversions for better match rates Testing everything end-to-end (GTM Preview mode, GA4 DebugView, Google Ads "Diagnose" tab) before calling it done Documenting what was set up so we understand our own tracking going forward Flagging any tracking gaps or website issues (e.g., missing thank-you pages, broken redirects) that would prevent accurate tracking Requirements Demonstrated hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager, GA4, and Google Ads conversion setup (not just familiarity — actual project experience) Comfortable working directly in a live website's code/tag manager without breaking things Clear communication in English, written and spoken Able to explain technical steps in plain language (we're not tracking experts, that's why we're hiring you) Portfolio or examples of past conversion tracking setups (screenshots, case studies, or references are fine) Nice to have: Experience with server-side tagging / Conversions API Experience with our website platform (let us know your platform experience — WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, custom, etc.) Google Ads Measurement certification Rate We're paying based on skill level for this specialized work, not general VA rates.
