Type of Work: Part Time Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and demonstrated results Job Overview Wicks Electric Inc. is a growing electrical contracting company serving residential and commercial clients throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. We are looking for an experienced Google Ads, SEO & WordPress Web Developer to help increase qualified leads, improve our online visibility, maintain and improve our website, and support our continued growth. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Google Ads, local SEO, and WordPress website development. Experience with the Enfold WordPress theme is strongly preferred, as our website uses WordPress and Enfold. We are looking for someone who can not only manage marketing campaigns but also make practical website improvements that support SEO, user experience, and lead generation. Responsibilities Google Ads Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns to generate high quality leads. Perform keyword research and competitor analysis. Monitor search terms and negative keywords. Create and optimize ad copy. Manage location targeting for local service areas. Optimize bidding strategies and budgets. Monitor cost per lead, conversion rates, and ROI. Perform regular campaign audits and recommend improvements. Set up and maintain conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager and GA4. SEO & Local SEO Develop and execute local SEO strategies for Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis. Optimize website pages, headings, metadata, images, and content. Monitor Google Search Console and organic search performance. Optimize and maintain Google Business Profile. Identify opportunities to improve local search rankings. Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, leads, and conversions. Develop strategies to increase visibility for high intent electrical service searches. WordPress Web Development Strong WordPress experience is required. Experience with the Enfold theme is strongly preferred. Responsibilities may include: Maintain and update our WordPress website. Build and edit pages using the Enfold theme and Avia Layout Builder. Make website changes and improvements without disrupting existing pages. Optimize website structure and pages for SEO. Improve website speed, mobile responsiveness, and user experience. Create and update landing pages for Google Ads campaigns. Troubleshoot WordPress and theme related issues. Make basic HTML, CSS, and other website code adjustments when required. Install, configure, and manage appropriate WordPress plugins. Ensure website forms, tracking, and conversion tools are functioning properly. Work with our team to continuously improve website content and lead generation. Qualifications Proven experience managing successful Google Ads campaigns. Strong understanding of SEO and local SEO. Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, GA4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager. Experience with keyword research and SEO tools. Strong WordPress development experience. Experience with the Enfold WordPress theme is highly preferred. Experience working with the Avia Layout Builder is an asset. Understanding of HTML and CSS. Experience optimizing websites for speed, mobile performance, and conversions. Strong analytical and reporting skills. Excellent communication and project management abilities. Experience working with service based businesses is preferred. Experience in the construction, electrical, home services, or trades industry is an asset. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to work during Vancouver, BC business hours (Pacific Time Zone) and can attend meetings during regular office hours.
